While our looks fade over time, my love for you will stay strong forever.

beben-eleben:

Mothers’ Day

I woke up with my sister knocking - actually smashing - my door. I grumpily stood up and walked to it, then tried to open it but it didn’t. My doorknob got broken and I got stuck in my room first thing in the morning. I had to greet my mother a Happy Mothers’ Day from my window because she was outside, trying to talk to me before she could help me getting off the knob from the door. I gave her my heartfelt, sincere and long letter - still through the window.

We went shopping for shoes because she told me she needed a white pair of heels, so I bought her one. We had a fun time going to each shoe store.

Right after buying it, my sister and I went to AstroVision just in case the Tour DVD of One Direction finally reached our place. I hoped that it would pop up out of nowhere and I can grab one and buy it, but no, life’s unfair. I went around the same store, checking out for some old school wonderful movies because they were so much cheaper than the new ones. I gave up and went out of the store without buying anything.

When we got out, the first person I saw was my liked-one. We exchanged HIs and went away. Unfortunately, mother caught me blushing.

Mom: who was that?

Me: *insert his name*

Mom: *insert his last name*

Me: How did you know?

Mom: I’m your mom and I go in your room and check your phone.

Me: Happy Mothers’ Day! *and hugged her*

Later that day, my dad came home and went straight to me, giving me a half-hug. “Were you the one who wrote the letter for your mom?” He asked still half-hugging me as I nodded. “Hindi ko akalain na makakagawa ka ng ganun! I mean, I never knew you could be that good.” I looked at him with narrowed eyes. “I even cried while I was reading it.”

“Whoa. That was for mom and she didn’t even cry. How come you did?” I asked, quite surprised.

“I’m an emotional person, you know.”

Then, the conversation went down to my college course and me, taking up journalism. My whole family talked about it and I honestly found it awkward. I was quiet the whole time, daydreaming of how life would be if I could live my life the way I imagine it to be.

Mothers’ day was awesome. In my own way, I made my mom happy and was able to tell her everything I wanted to.

College

So I’m going to have my junior year and then Senior High, just a few more years until college. Mom and I had this conversation days ago which made me realize what my calling is.

Mom: I could go to Ateneo. You’ve got a huge chance, I tell you. They have a dorm for people from provinces.

Me: I don’t even know what course I’m going to take.

Mom: I know you’ve been writing stories about your boys. You’ve written stories I lost count of your whole life. You used to write for your school paper and is planning to be in it again. You won the only writing contest you joined.

Me: Do you get to travel when you take up journalism?

Mom: Obviously.

I’m planning on taking up journalism for the, I don’t know, love of it I guess. But I think that’s where I excel or something. I still have two years to think about it or maybe change my mind.

I like the part where I get to move out and be independent. Shopping and buying the things I want. Doing anything I want with other people. A little freedom could be good for me.

I don’t care if you’re a Bieber blog, a hipster blog, a fashion blog, a summer blog, any kind of blog, you will reblog this. This won’t ruin your blogs look, it will show that you actually have a heart and care for people like this.

If i ever meet someone like this on the street, i will go up and introduce myself, i would tell the person what the world looks like today, what i look like, start a genuen conversation and give them some company, i would share all the money i had and tell them to stay strong.

“Love Yourself”

A cliche. Easy to say but difficult to do. When you look at a mirror, all you could point out are your fking flaws and never even see what’s good in you. Am I right? Everytime you see those fit, beautiful, near to perfect girls, your insecurities pull you down. If only you could be that fit. If only you could be as beautiful as them. If only you could be near to perfect. These are just some words that go in your mind on those times. Then you strain yourself in order to be fit. You’re being too hard on yourself so you could look like those other girls who are called “beautiful.” And no matter how people compliment you, you’ll never, ever believe them. You’re too focused on your insecurities and flaws that you don’t see the good in you.

Try looking at the mirror and smile at yourself. Point out every little good part of you. So the next time you’d look at yourself in front of that reflecting glass, you can try to adore that part of your body and let it be your strength. And every time you’ll feel insecure, close your eyes and think of it or say mantra.

The Ruins, Talisay City, Philippines
This was a Lacson Mansion during a World War. The guerrilla fighters had to destroy it to prevent the opponents from staying in it.
The cement used in this structure is A-grade and was mixed with a certain substance to have a marble effect on the posts and walls. Hard wood was everywhere too, and for them to preserve the skeleton, they had to burn the house.

Good whatever it is right now.

Woke up really late.

That urge to give up.

gadiellerin:

There’s always that point where I just want to let go of literally everything and just give up from there cause I just don’t care at all. Regardless of how much time and effort I’ve put in, I just feel that if nothing has changed since the beginning then that’s the perfect time to give up. Especially if the person still hasn’t notice the smallest things you did just get their attention. As much as I hate giving up, there’s nothing I hate more than wasting my time.
